Exciting Zoom Updates

Wherever you are, Zoom is for you. If you want to express yourself and connect with people, this videoconferencing software will help you achieve that. The pandemic prohibits face-to-face encounters. Thus, Zoom has been everyone's go-to when it comes to virtually meeting different people across the globe.

Zoom has grown to become one of the most popular videoconferencing platforms in the year 2020. It allows individuals to interact with co-workers, classmates, friends, and even their loved ones when in-person encounters aren't possible, and it's been a big success at social gatherings. Zoom is an undoubtedly effective tool for communicating with a small to a large group of people worldwide.

Zoom recently held the 'Zoomtopia 2021,' which drew over 33,000 people in this annual user conference. This is their 5th time and it’s getting better every time. Eric S. Yuan, Zoom's CEO, and Oded Gal, the company's Chief Product Officer, presented updates. These updates will enable users to interact globally in the future years. Zoom's team develops innovative methods to work more efficiently, reach and serve customers more effectively, and communicate better throughout the platform.

Here are some of Zoom's exciting updates:

  • For more inclusive meetings, they expanded live translation and transcription. They are expanding Zoom's automated transcription into 30 languages, add live translation to 12 languages, and reduce language barriers to have more productive and dynamic communication. They believe that Zoom innovations will help connect the users across the world for better understanding in removing the communication barrier they are experiencing.

  • Zoom Widget for fast, at-a-glance Zoom access. Zoom Widget allows users to see their meeting calendar at a glance, check who's present in the meeting, send a brief message, and more.

  • Zoom Whiteboard. They are introducing a new powerful Zoom Whiteboard, the same board used in person. The Zoom whiteboard will enable users to access and annotate a whiteboard while engaged in virtual reality.

  • Enhancements to Zoom Chat. The organized and streamlined messaging allows users to have easier continuous collaboration with each other. It permits users to send content, files, and videos and access integrations with file-sharing solutions without leaving the platform.

  • You may use the Zoom Phone Provider Exchange to select the perfect PSTN partner for your company. Through this update, customers have more providers to choose from, ensuring that they have the ideal partner for their business needs.

  • Huddle View. Zoom is implementing a new toggling view for Zoom Chat channels. Huddle view displays a visual depiction of a channel that allows teams to feel more connected while chatting and collaborating.

  • Enhancements to the Smart Gallery. This new update allows distant employees to be depicted on screen in the same way as other participants.

  • Hot Desking. As hybrid work arrangements become the norm, more organizations are prioritizing flexible workplaces. With this update, users can reserve desks and spaces using an interactive map. They can choose seats or configurations advised by Zoom's AI. This update allows businesses to rearrange their workspaces for flexible working. We'll be delivering a new QR code hot desking experience to Zoom Phone Appliances and Zoom Rooms in testing later this year, and Zoom Phone already has some hot-desking features.

  • Enhancement of the Virtual Event Experience. Event planners may use Zoom Events Conference to host multi-track and multi-day events.

By all counts, Zoom management aims to continually improve its services and the quality of its platform. Aside from being easy to set up, use, and manage, it offers a wide range of participants that can join the platform, and it is available on all gadgets. Also, you can use this platform at once, offering lots of tools inside.

With an ever-changing world, they are constantly improving the Zoom apps to match the changing business demands, so students, professionals, and businesses don't have to worry about finding a good communication platform.
